The Interleukin-24 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1879) is a valuable tool for researchers studying interleukin-24, a cytokine with potent anti-tumor and immune-modulatory properties. This antibody is raised in rabbits and is highly specific for interleukin-24 in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.Interleukin-24 is known to induce cell death in various cancer cell lines, making it a promising candidate for cancer therapy. Additionally, it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects, suggesting a potential role in the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
This antibody allows for the detection and analysis of interleukin-24 in a variety of cell types, providing researchers with a valuable tool for understanding the role of this cytokine in both cancer and immunology research.By using the Interleukin-24 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1879), researchers can further explore the mechanisms underlying the anti-tumor and immune-modulatory effects of interleukin-24, potentially leading to the development of novel therapies for cancer and autoimmune diseases.

This gene encodes a member of the IL10 family of cytokines. It was identified as a gene induced during terminal differentiation in melanoma cells. The protein encoded by this gene can induce apoptosis selectively in various cancer cells. Overexpression of this gene leads to elevated expression of several GADD family genes, which correlates with the induction of apoptosis. The phosphorylation of mitogen-activated protein kinase 14 (MAPK7/P38), and heat shock 27kDa protein 1 (HSPB2/HSP27) are found to be induced by this gene in melanoma cells, but not in normal immortal melanocytes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
