The Interleukin-13 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2089) is a valuable tool for researchers studying interleukin-13, a cytokine involved in inflammation and immune response regulation. This antibody, raised in rabbits, has high reactivity with samples from various species, including human, and has been validated for use in applications such as Western blotting.Interleukin-13 is known for its role in promoting allergic responses and has been implicated in diseases such as asthma and inflammatory conditions. By using the Interleukin-13 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can detect and analyze interleukin-13 levels in different cell types, providing insights into its function in these disease processes.
The ability to study interleukin-13 and its effects on immune responses is crucial for developing targeted therapies for conditions driven by aberrant inflammatory responses. The Interleukin-13 Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the role of interleukin-13 in various biological contexts, advancing our understanding of immune regulation and inflammatory diseases.

This gene encodes an immunoregulatory cytokine produced primarily by activated Th2 cells. This cytokine is involved in several stages of B-cell maturation and differentiation. It up-regulates CD23 and MHC class II expression, and promotes IgE isotype switching of B cells. This cytokine down-regulates macrophage activity, thereby inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. This cytokine is found to be critical to the pathogenesis of allergen-induced asthma but operates through mechanisms independent of IgE and eosinophils. This gene, IL3, IL5, IL4, and CSF2 form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 5q, with this gene particularly close to IL4.
