The Interleukin-1 Alpha Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2170) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1α) in inflammation and immune response modulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to IL-1α, researchers can detect and analyze this important cytokine in various cell types, providing critical insights into its function in immunology and disease research.IL-1α is a key proinflammatory cytokine involved in the regulation of immune responses, inflammation, and tissue repair. Dysregulation of IL-1α has been implicated in a variety of diseases, including autoimmune disorders, chronic inflammatory conditions, and cancer.
By studying the activity of IL-1α with the help of this antibody, researchers can gain a better understanding of its role in these disease processes and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for intervention.Overall, the Interleukin-1 Alpha Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2170) is a valuable tool for researchers interested in unraveling the complex mechanisms of inflammation and immune regulation. Its specificity and reliability make it an essential component of any study focusing on IL-1α and its role in health and disease.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This cytokine is a pleiotropic cytokine involved in various immune responses, inflammatory processes, and hematopoiesis. This cytokine is produced by monocytes and macrophages as a proprotein, which is proteolytically processed and released in response to cell injury, and thus induces apoptosis. This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2. It has been suggested that the polymorphism of these genes is associated with rheumatoid arthritis and Alzheimer's disease.
