The Interferon Lambda-3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5648) is a specialized research tool designed for the study of Interferon Lambda-3, a type of interferon that plays a crucial role in the immune response against viral infections. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and reactivity with human samples, making it an ideal choice for researchers working in immunology and virology.Interferon Lambda-3, also known as IFNL3, is a key player in the antiviral immune response, particularly in the case of hepatitis C virus infections. By targeting the IFNL3 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of Interferon Lambda-3 in various cell types, providing valuable insights into its role in viral defense mechanisms.
Research into Interferon Lambda-3 is essential for the development of new antiviral therapies and the understanding of immune responses to viral infections. The IFNL3 Polyclonal Antibody serves as a valuable tool for unraveling the complex mechanisms involved in the immune system's defense against viruses, paving the way for innovative treatments and strategies in the field of infectious diseases.

This gene encodes a cytokine distantly related to type I interferons and the IL-10 family. This gene, interleukin 28A (IL28A), and interleukin 29 (IL29) are three closely related cytokine genes that form a cytokine gene cluster on a chromosomal region mapped to 19q13. Expression of the cytokines encoded by the three genes can be induced by viral infection. All three cytokines have been shown to interact with a heterodimeric class II cytokine receptor that consists of interleukin 10 receptor, beta (IL10RB) and interleukin 28 receptor, alpha (IL28RA).
