The Integrin Alpha X Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1508) is a valuable tool for researchers studying integrin alpha X, a cell adhesion molecule involved in various cellular processes, including cell migration and interaction with immune cells. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the integrin alpha X protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of integrin alpha X in different cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in immunology, inflammation, and cancer research.
Integrin alpha X plays a crucial role in mediating cell adhesion and migration, particularly in immune responses and inflammatory processes. Its involvement in cell-cell interactions and regulation of immune cell function highlights its significance as a potential therapeutic target in diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. By investigating the function and expression of integrin alpha X, researchers can gain insights into its role in disease pathogenesis and potentially develop novel treatment strategies targeting this molecule.

This gene encodes the integrin alpha X chain protein. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This protein combines with the beta 2 chain (ITGB2) to form a leukocyte-specific integrin referred to as inactivated-C3b (iC3b) receptor 4 (CR4). The alpha X beta 2 complex seems to overlap the properties of the alpha M beta 2 integrin in the adherence of neutrophils and monocytes to stimulated endothelium cells, and in the phagocytosis of complement coated particles. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
