The IL1R2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1899) is specifically designed for research involving IL1R2, a cell surface receptor involved in inflammatory responses. The antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and is validated for use in various applications such as Western blot and immunohistochemistry. It binds to the IL1R2 receptor, enabling detection and analysis in different cell types, making it an ideal tool for studies in immunology and inflammatory diseases.IL1R2, also known as IL-1 receptor type 2, is a key regulator in the interleukin-1 signaling pathway, playing a critical role in modulating the inflammatory response.
Dysregulation of IL1R2 has been implicated in various inflammatory conditions, making it a promising target for drug development and therapeutic interventions. Understanding the function of IL1R2 is essential for advancing research in areas such as autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, and chronic inflammatory conditions.Overall, the IL1R2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1899) offers researchers a reliable tool for studying the role of IL1R2 in inflammation, offering insights that could contribute to the development of novel treatments for inflammatory diseases.

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine receptor that belongs to the interleukin 1 receptor family. This protein binds interleukin alpha (IL1A), interleukin beta (IL1B), and interleukin 1 receptor, type I(IL1R1/IL1RA), and acts as a decoy receptor that inhibits the activity of its ligands. Interleukin 4 (IL4) is reported to antagonize the activity of interleukin 1 by inducing the expression and release of this cytokine. This gene and three other genes form a cytokine receptor gene cluster on chromosome 2q12. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants and protein isoforms. Alternative splicing produces both membrane-bound and soluble proteins. A soluble protein is also produced by proteolytic cleavage.
