Description
IL 8 Monoclonal Antibody [NYR-HIL8] (CPAB0025)
The IL-8 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0025) is a valuable tool for researchers studying interleukin-8 (IL-8), a chemokine involved in inflammation and immune response. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for IL-8 in human samples, making it suitable for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.IL-8 is a key mediator of neutrophil recruitment and activation, playing a critical role in inflammatory processes and immune defense. Dysregulation of IL-8 expression has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
By targeting IL-8, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially identify new therapeutic strategies. With its ability to detect and quantify IL-8 protein levels, the IL-8 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for investigating the role of IL-8 in health and disease. Whether studying immune responses, inflammatory pathways, or disease progression, this antibody enables precise and reliable detection of IL-8, opening up new possibilities for research and drug development.

Background: | Interleukin-8 (IL-8) is a chemokine produced by macrophages and other cell types such as epithelial cells. It is also synthesized by endothelial cells, which store IL-8 in their storage vesicles, the Weibel-Palade bodies. When first encountering an antigen, the primary cells to encounter it are the macrophages who phagocytosethe particle. Upon processing, they release chemokinesto signal other immune cells to come in to the site of inflammation. IL-8 is one such chemokine. It serves as a chemical signal that attracts neutrophilsat the site of inflammation, and therefore is also known as Neutrophil Chemotactic Factor. |
