Description
IL 1RA Monoclonal Antibody [NYR-hIL1RA] (CPAB0050)
The IL-1RA Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0050) is a vital tool for researchers studying interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RA), a key protein involved in immune regulation and inflammatory responses. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting. By binding specifically to the IL-1RA protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an excellent choice for research in immunology and inflammatory conditions.
IL-1RA acts as a natural antagonist to the pro-inflammatory effects of interleukin-1, playing a crucial role in dampening excessive immune responses and maintaining immune balance. Its involvement in regulating inflammation makes it a promising target for studying autoimmune diseases, inflammatory conditions, and even potential therapeutic interventions. Understanding the function of IL-1RA is essential for unraveling the complexities of immune regulation and developing targeted treatment strategies for related disorders.

Background: | Interleukin-1 ra is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This protein inhibits the activities of interleukin 1, alpha (IL1A) and interleukin 1, beta (IL1B), and modulates a variety of interleukin 1 related immune and inflammatory responses. This gene and five other closely related cytokine genes form a gene cluster spanning approximately 400 kb on chromosome 2. A polymorphism of this gene is reported to be associated with increased risk of osteoporotic fractures and gastric cancer. Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported. |
