Description
IL 10 Monoclonal Antibody [MI10-L2] (CPAB0347)
The IL-10 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0347) is a valuable tool for researchers studying IL-10, a key anti-inflammatory cytokine involved in regulating immune responses. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the IL-10 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in immunology and research related to autoimmune diseases, inflammation, and infectious diseases.
IL-10 is a critical component in maintaining immune homeostasis by suppressing inflammation and promoting immune tolerance. Its role in modulating immune responses makes it a promising target for therapeutic interventions in conditions such as autoimmune diseases, inflammatory disorders, and cancer. Understanding the mechanisms of IL-10 activity is essential for developing targeted therapies that leverage its immunomodulatory properties for clinical applications.

Background: | IL10 is a cytokine produced primarily by monocytes and to a lesser extent by lymphocytes. This cytokine has pleiotropic effects in immunoregulation and inflammation. It down-regulates the expression of Th1 cytokines, MHC class II Ags, and costimulatory molecules on macrophages. It also enhances B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production. This cytokine can block NF-kappa B activity, and is involved in the regulation of the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. Knockout studies in mice suggested the function of this cytokine as an essential immunoregulator in the intestinal tract. |
