The IKB Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the IκB family of proteins, which play a crucial role in the regulation of the NF-κB signaling pathway. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human IKB and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to IKB proteins, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in inflammation, cancer, and immune response modulation. The NF-κB signaling pathway is involved in various cellular processes, including immune response, inflammation, and cell proliferation.
Dysregulation of this pathway has been implicated in many diseases, such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and chronic inflammatory conditions. By studying IKB proteins and their role in NF-κB signaling, researchers can gain valuable insights into disease mechanisms and potentially develop targeted therapies for these conditions.Overall, the IKB Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers interested in exploring the intricacies of the NF-κB signaling pathway and its implications for therapeutic interventions in a variety of diseases.
Product Name:
IKB-α Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB24742
Size:
100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human IκBα (NP_065390.1).
This gene encodes a member of the NF-kappa-B inhibitor family, which contain multiple ankrin repeat domains. The encoded protein interacts with REL dimers to inhibit NF-kappa-B/REL complexes which are involved in inflammatory responses. The encoded protein moves between the cytoplasm and the nucleus via a nuclear localization signal and CRM1-mediated nuclear export. Mutations in this gene have been found in ectodermal dysplasia anhidrotic with T-cell immunodeficiency autosomal dominant disease.
