The IGFBP1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11109) is a valuable tool for research involving Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 1 (IGFBP1), a protein involved in the regulation of insulin-like growth factor signaling and cell growth. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity specifically with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the IGFBP1 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it well-suited for studies in endocrinology, metabolism, and cancer research.
IGFBP1 is a key player in the regulation of insulin-like growth factor activity, influencing processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Its involvement in signaling pathways related to growth and metabolism positions it as a potential target for research into conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and cancer. Unraveling the intricate functions of IGFBP1 is essential for the development of novel therapies aimed at modulating growth factor signaling in various disease contexts.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 150-250 of human IGFBP1 (NP_000587.1).
This gene is a member of the insulin-like growth factor binding protein (IGFBP) family and encodes a protein with an IGFBP N-terminal domain and a thyroglobulin type-I domain. The encoded protein, mainly expressed in the liver, circulates in the plasma and binds both insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) I and II, prolonging their half-lives and altering their interaction with cell surface receptors. This protein is important in cell migration and metabolism. Low levels of this protein may be associated with impaired glucose tolerance, vascular disease and hypertension in human patients.
