Description
IGF2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB24842)
The IGF2 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for research involving Insulin-like Growth Factor 2 (IGF2), a protein involved in cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.IGF2 is a key player in regulating cell processes such as cell survival and metabolism. Dysregulation of IGF2 expression has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders. This antibody specifically targets the IGF2 protein, allowing for precise detection and analysis in different cell types.
Researchers studying cell signaling pathways, growth factors, and cancer biology will find this polyclonal antibody to be a valuable tool. By understanding the role of IGF2 in normal cellular functions and disease states, new therapeutic targets and treatment strategies may be identified. This antibody is essential for advancing research in fields such as oncology, developmental biology, and regenerative medicine.

This gene encodes a member of the insulin family of polypeptide growth factors, which are involved in development and growth. It is an imprinted gene, expressed only from the paternal allele, and epigenetic changes at this locus are associated with Wilms tumour, Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, rhabdomyosarcoma, and Silver-Russell syndrome. A read-through INS-IGF2 gene exists, whose 5' region overlaps the INS gene and the 3' region overlaps this gene. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
