The IFNA1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0285) is a crucial tool for researchers studying interferon alpha-1 (IFNA1), a type I interferon that plays a key role in immune response regulation. This antibody is produced in rabbits and has high reactivity with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to IFNA1, researchers can easily detect and analyze this important protein in various cell types.IFNA1 is a potent cytokine that is involved in antiviral immune responses and has shown promise in cancer therapy due to its ability to inhibit tumor growth.
Understanding the function of IFNA1 is essential for developing targeted therapies for infectious diseases, cancer, and autoimmune disorders. By using the IFNA1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of immune response modulation and potentially develop novel treatment strategies for a range of diseases.

This gene is a member of the alpha interferon gene cluster on chromosome 9. The encoded cytokine is a member of the type I interferon family that is produced in response to viral infection as a key part of the innate immune response with potent antiviral, antiproliferative and immunomodulatory properties. This cytokine, like other type I interferons, binds a plasma membrane receptor made of IFNAR1 and IFNAR2 that is ubiquitously expressed, and thus is able to act on virtually all body cells. This cytokine is upregulated in preeclamptic placentas and is thought to be a mediator of preeclampsia.
