Human SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin) CLIA Kit
The Human SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin) CLIA Kit is a highly sensitive and specific assay designed for the accurate detection of SHBG levels in human serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit ensures reliable and reproducible results, making it ideal for various research applications in the field of endocrinology and hormone regulation.SHBG is a glycoprotein that binds to sex hormones such as testosterone and estradiol, regulating their availability and biological activity in the body.
Imbalances in SHBG levels have been associated with conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome, hypothyroidism, and hormonal imbalances, making it a crucial biomarker for understanding and diagnosing these conditions.By utilizing the Human SHBG CLIA Kit, researchers can gain valuable insights into hormone regulation and its impact on various physiological processes, paving the way for advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of hormone-related disorders.

This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human SHBG. Standards or samples are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human SHBG and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human SHBG, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Human SHBG. You can calculate the concentration of Human SHBG in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
