Human PYGM (Glycogen Phosphorylase, Muscle) ELISA Kit
The Human PYGM (Glycogen Phosphorylase, Muscle) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the precise quantification of PYGM levels in human biological samples. PYGM, also known as muscle glycogen phosphorylase, is a key enzyme involved in glycogen breakdown within muscle cells, crucial for rapid energy release during physical activity or metabolic demands. This enzyme plays a central role in regulating glycogenolysis and glucose metabolism in muscle tissue, supporting energy production during exercise and metabolic stress. This ELISA kit provides researchers with a reliable tool to measure PYGM expression, enabling in-depth investigations into muscle glycogen metabolism, muscular energy utilization, and the pathophysiology of glycogen storage disorders and metabolic diseases.
Accurate assessment of PYGM levels can enhance our understanding of muscle metabolism, exercise physiology, and metabolic disorders. The Human PYGM ELISA Kit offers high sensitivity and specificity, ensuring accurate and reproducible results. With robust performance and user-friendly procedures, this kit facilitates comprehensive research into the role of PYGM in muscle energy metabolism, glycogen utilization, and metabolic conditions, making it a valuable resource for scientific exploration and clinical studies.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human PYGM. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human PYGM and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human PYGM, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human PYGM. You can calculate the concentration of Human PYGM in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
