Human PYGL (Glycogen Phosphorylase, Liver) ELISA Kit
The Human PYGL (Glycogen Phosphorylase, Liver) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay meticulously tailored for the precise measurement of PYGL levels in human biological samples. PYGL, also known as liver glycogen phosphorylase, is a crucial enzyme playing a central role in glycogen metabolism by catalyzing the breakdown of glycogen into glucose-1-phosphate in the liver. This enzymatic process is vital for regulating blood glucose levels and providing energy during fasting or exercise. This ELISA kit offers researchers a powerful tool to quantify PYGL expression, shedding light on its involvement in glycogenolysis, glucose homeostasis, and metabolic functions.
By accurately assessing PYGL levels, researchers can deepen their understanding of glycogen metabolism regulation, hepatic energy utilization, and the pathophysiology of metabolic disorders such as diabetes and glycogen storage diseases. The Human PYGL ELISA Kit provides outstanding sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results. With robust performance and user-friendly protocols, this kit facilitates comprehensive investigations into the role of PYGL in liver function, metabolic pathways, and metabolic disorders, making it an invaluable asset for scientific research and clinical studies.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human PYGL. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human PYGL and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human PYGL, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human PYGL. You can calculate the concentration of Human PYGL in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
