The Human PAH (Phenylalanine Hydroxylase) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the accurate and precise detection of phenylalanine hydroxylase levels in human serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit offers high sensitivity and specificity, ensuring dependable and reproducible results for various research applications.Phenylalanine hydroxylase is an essential enzyme involved in the metabolism of the amino acid phenylalanine. Mutations in the PAH gene can lead to phenylketonuria (PKU), a genetic disorder that causes an accumulation of phenylalanine in the body.
Monitoring phenylalanine hydroxylase levels is crucial for the diagnosis and management of PKU and other related disorders. The Human PAH ELISA Kit provides researchers with a valuable tool for studying PKU, evaluating treatment outcomes, and developing potential therapies for individuals with PAH deficiencies. Its superior performance and ease of use make it a must-have for laboratories conducting research in the field of metabolic disorders and genetic diseases.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human PAH. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human PAH and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human PAH, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human PAH. You can calculate the concentration of Human PAH in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
