MYL4 is a hexameric ATPase cellular motor protein which is composed of two nonphosphorylatable alkali light chains, two heavy chains and two phosphorylatable regulatory light chains. MYL4 encodes a myosin alkali light chain which is located in embryonic muscle and adult atria. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein were found for this gene.
MYL4 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 205 amino acids (1-197 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 22.6kDa.MYL4 is fused to an 8 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | MYL4: Regulatory light chain of myosin. Does not bind calcium. |
