The CD47 Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated) (MIAP410) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CD47, a cell surface protein known for its diverse roles in immune regulation and cancer biology. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated to allophycocyanin (APC), offers high specificity and sensitivity for detecting CD47 in human, mouse, and rat samples, making it versatile for cross-species research applications.CD47, also known as integrin-associated protein, is recognized for its ability to modulate phagocytosis, cell adhesion, and immune responses. It serves as a "don't eat me" signal to prevent phagocytosis of healthy cells and is also implicated in cancer immune evasion mechanisms.
The CD47 Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated) enables precise visualization and quantification of CD47 expression in a variety of cell types, facilitating investigations into its functions in immunology, oncology, and beyond.Researchers can leverage this antibody to unravel the complex interplay between CD47 and immune cells, offering insights into its potential as a therapeutic target for cancer immunotherapy, autoimmune diseases, and other immune-related disorders. By illuminating the role of CD47 in immune regulation, this antibody aids in advancing our understanding of immune checkpoints and their implications for health and disease.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD47, also known as Integrin-Associated Protein (IAP), is a membrane protein of about 50 kD with an IgV-like extracelluluar domain, a five membrane-spanning segment and a short terminal cytoplasmic region. It is widely expressed on many cell types and often associated with beta 3 integrins. It has been reported that CD47 functions as a self marker. Red cells lacking CD47 were rapidly cleared from the bloodstream by splenic macrophages. By binding to SIRPα, CD47 controls hemostatic innate immune functions, such as phagocytosis and cell trafficking.
