The Human/Mouse CD11a Monoclonal Antibody (TS1/22.1.1-13) is a versatile tool for researchers studying cell adhesion and immune responses. This monoclonal antibody, designated AGEL0233 by Assay Genie, specifically targets the CD11a protein, a key component of the lymphocyte function-associated antigen 1 (LFA-1) complex. LFA-1 is crucial for T cell activation, adhesion, and migration, making it an essential molecule in the immune response. The AGEL0233 antibody is produced using hybridoma technology, ensuring high specificity and sensitivity in detecting CD11a in both human and mouse samples. It is validated for various applications, including flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry, providing researchers with flexibility in experimental design. By selectively binding to CD11a, this monoclonal antibody enables precise detection and analysis of LFA-1 expression in different cell types, facilitating a better understanding of immune cell interactions and inflammatory processes.
Studying CD11a with the AGEL0233 antibody can open new avenues in immunology research, particularly in investigating immune cell activation, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases. The ability to target LFA-1 specifically in human and mouse samples makes this antibody a valuable tool for researchers interested in elucidating the intricate mechanisms underlying immune responses. Whether exploring T cell function, leukocyte adhesion, or inflammatory pathways, the AGEL0233 monoclonal antibody provides a reliable resource for advancing our knowledge of immune system regulation.

Background:
CD11a is a 170-180 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as LFA-1α chain and integrin αL subunit. CD11a non-covalently associates with integrin β2 (CD18) to form LFA-1. It is expressed on all leukocytes, including B and T lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, basophils and eosinophils. It is absent on non-hematopoietic tissues and platelets. CD11a plays a central role in leukocyte cell-cell interactions and is important in lymphocyte costimulation. CD11a/CD18 binds to ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM-3 (CD50).
