The Human KERA (Keratocan) CLIA Kit is specifically designed for the precise and sensitive detection of Keratocan levels in human samples including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. With its high sensitivity and specificity, this kit ensures accurate and reproducible results, making it an excellent choice for various research applications in the field.Keratocan is a key protein involved in the structure and function of the cornea, playing a vital role in maintaining corneal transparency and integrity.
Dysregulation of Keratocan is associated with corneal diseases such as keratoconus and other eye disorders. This CLIA kit provides a valuable tool for studying these conditions, identifying potential biomarkers, and developing targeted therapies. With its advanced technology and reliable performance, the Human KERA (Keratocan) CLIA Kit from AssayGenie is the ideal solution for researchers looking to explore the role of Keratocan in corneal health and disease.

This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human KERA. Standards or samples are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human KERA and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human KERA, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Human KERA. You can calculate the concentration of Human KERA in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
