Jun dimerization protein 2 (JDP2) is a component of the AP-1 transcription factor which inhibits transactivation mediated by the Jun family of proteins. JDP2 is involved in various transcriptional responses associated with AP-1 such as UV-induced apoptosis, cell differentiation, tumorigenesis and antitumogeneris. In addition, JDP2 can act as a repressor by recruiting histone deacetylase 3/HDAC3 to the promoter region of JUN. JDP2 controls transcription via direct regulation of the modification of histones and the assembly of chromatin.
JDP2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 187 amino acids (1-163 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 21.2kDa.JDP2 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | JDP2: a transcriptional coregulator that may play a role in progesterone receptor signaling. a JDP-2 lacks an intrinsic activation domain and interacts directly with other coactivators including CBP and pCAF. |
