The Human IAPP (Islet Amyloid Polypeptide) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the precise measurement of IAPP levels in human serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. With its high sensitivity and specificity, researchers can rely on this kit to deliver consistent and accurate results for a variety of research applications.IAPP, also known as amylin, is a peptide hormone that plays a key role in glucose metabolism and regulation of insulin secretion.
Dysregulation of IAPP has been linked to conditions such as diabetes and Alzheimer's disease, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these diseases and potential therapeutic interventions.By using the Human IAPP ELISA Kit, researchers can gain valuable insights into the role of IAPP in disease pathology and development, ultimately contributing to the advancement of biomedical research and clinical diagnostics.

This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with IAPP. During the reaction, IAPP in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of IAPP on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to IAPP. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away, and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of IAPP in tested samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
