Human GFAP (Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein) CLIA Kit
The Human GFAP (Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein) CLIA Kit is a powerful tool designed for the precise measurement of GFAP levels in human samples such as serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit is known for its exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring trustworthy and consistent results, making it an excellent choice for various research applications.GFAP is a critical protein found in astrocytes, a type of glial cell in the central nervous system. GFAP is involved in providing structural support to nerve cells and is a key marker for astrocyte activation in response to various neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Understanding GFAP levels can provide valuable insights into the pathophysiology of these conditions and aid in the development of potential therapeutic strategies.Overall, the Human GFAP CLIA Kit offers researchers a reliable and efficient method for quantifying GFAP levels in human samples, making it an invaluable tool for advancing our understanding of neurological disorders and exploring novel treatment options.

This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human GFAP. Standards or samples are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human GFAP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human GFAP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Human GFAP. You can calculate the concentration of Human GFAP in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
