Human GART (GAR transformylase) ELISA Kit

GART is a key enzyme in the de novo biosynthesis of Purine nucleotides. The GART gene encodes a protein that catalyzes the transfer of an amino group from glutamine to 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate (PRPP), forming phosphoribosylglycinamide (PGA). This enzyme is necessary for the synthesis of purines, which are essential for DNA and RNA synthesis. Mutations in the GART gene can result in defects in purine metabolism, leading to disorders such as gout, xanthinuria, and hyperuricemia.
