EctonucleosideTriphosphate Diphosphohydrolase 3, also known as ENTPD3, which owns a threefoldpreference for the hydrolysis of ATP over ADP is similar to E-typenucleotidases (NTPases). ENTPD3 is a protein coding gene which contains fourapyrase-conserved areas which is characteristic of NTPases.
ENTPD3 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 465 amino acids (44-485 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 52kDa. ENTPD3 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | ENTPD3: Has a threefold preference for the hydrolysis of ATP over ADP. Belongs to the GDA1/CD39 NTPase family. |
UniProt Protein Details: | Protein type:Hydrolase; EC 3.6.1.5; Membrane protein, integral; Phosphatase (non-protein); Nucleotide Metabolism - purine; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Nucleotide Metabolism - pyrimidine Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p21.3 Molecular Function:protein binding |
NCBI Summary: | This gene encodes a plasma membrane-bound divalent cation-dependent E-type nucleotidase. The encoded protein is involved in the regulation of extracellular levels of ATP by hydrolysis of it and other nucleotides. Multiple transcript variants have been described.
