Dynein light chain roadblock-type 2 (DYNLRB2) functions as one of several non-catalytic accessory components of the cytoplasmic dynein complex which are considered to be involved in linking dynein to cargos and to adapter proteins that regulate dynein function. Cytoplasmic dynein functions as a motor for the intracellular retrograde motility of vesicles and organelles along microtubules.
DYNLRB2 Human Recombinant fused with a20 amino acid His tag at N-terminus produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing116 amino acids (1-96 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 13kDa. The DYNLRB2 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | DYNLRB2: Acts as one of several non-catalytic accessory components of the cytoplasmic dynein 1 complex that are thought to be involved in linking dynein to cargos and to adapter proteins that regulate dynein function. Cytoplasmic dynein 1 acts as a motor for the intracellular retrograde motility of vesicles and organelles along microtubules. Belongs to the GAMAD family.Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxisChromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16q23.3Cellular Component: microtubule; cytoplasmic dynein complexMolecular Function: microtubule motor activityBiological Process: metabolic process; transport; organelle organization and biogenesis; microtubule-based movement |
