The Human DSP (Desmoplakin) CLIA Kit is specifically designed for the quantitative measurement of desmoplakin levels in human biological samples, such as serum and plasma. This kit offers high precision and sensitivity, allowing for accurate and reliable results for research purposes.Desmoplakin is a key protein essential for maintaining the structural integrity of desmosomes in epithelial cells, contributing to cell-cell adhesion and tissue stability.
Dysregulation of desmoplakin has been linked to various skin disorders, including pemphigus vulgaris and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy.By utilizing the Human DSP CLIA Kit, researchers can gain valuable insights into the role of desmoplakin in disease pathogenesis and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of desmosome-related disorders.

This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human DSP. Standards or samples are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human DSP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human DSP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Human DSP. You can calculate the concentration of Human DSP in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
