The Human CLDN5 (Claudin-5) ELISA Kit is a reliable tool for measuring levels of CLDN5 in human serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit offers high sensitivity and specificity for accurate and reproducible results, making it suitable for various research applications.CLDN5, a key component of tight junctions, plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the blood-brain barrier and regulating paracellular permeability. Dysregulation of CLDN5 has been implicated in various neurological disorders, including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and stroke.
Therefore, accurate measurement of CLDN5 levels is essential for understanding the pathophysiology of these conditions and developing potential therapeutic interventions.By using the Human CLDN5 ELISA Kit, researchers can confidently study the role of CLDN5 in disease progression and explore its potential as a biomarker for diagnosing and monitoring neurological disorders. This kit provides a convenient and efficient platform for investigating the functional significance of CLDN5 in various biological processes.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human CLDN5. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human CLDN5 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human CLDN5, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human CLDN5. You can calculate the concentration of Human CLDN5 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
