The Human CD9 Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) HI9A (AGEL1128) is a specialized antibody designed for research applications involving CD9, a cell surface protein known for its role in cell adhesion, migration, and signaling. This monoclonal antibody, produced using advanced technology, is specifically designed for use with human samples and is conjugated with FITC for fluorescence detection methods.CD9, a tetraspanin protein, is widely expressed in various cell types and is involved in diverse cellular functions, including cell adhesion, motility, and signal transduction. Its involvement in processes such as cell fusion, fertilization, and cancer metastasis make it a key molecule of interest in cell biology and oncology research.
The Human CD9 Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) HI9A (AGEL1128) allows for precise detection and visualization of CD9 in experimental settings, enabling detailed analysis and insight into its functions in different cellular contexts.Researchers studying cell biology, cancer biology, or other fields where CD9 plays a role will find this antibody to be a valuable tool for their investigations. Its specificity and reliability in detecting CD9 make it a crucial component for experiments aimed at understanding the mechanisms and implications of CD9-mediated cellular processes.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD9 is a 24 kD type III transmembrane protein also known as tetraspanin, MRP-1 and DRAP-24. It is a member of the tetraspan family (spanning the membrane four times) found on platelets, B cell progenitors, activated lymphocytes, granulocytes, endothelial cells and epithelial cells. CD9 induces adhesion, platelet aggregation, and B cell development. CD9 has been shown to associate with CD63, CD81, CD82, and CD36 and to bind to β1 integrins.
