The Human CD62L Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine7 Conjugated) DREG56 (AGEL0952) available at AssayGenie is a powerful tool for researchers studying CD62L, a crucial cell adhesion molecule involved in the migration and activation of leukocytes. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with PE/Cyanine7, provides high specificity and sensitivity when detecting CD62L in human samples, making it an invaluable resource for flow cytometry and other immunological assays.CD62L, also known as L-selectin, plays a key role in immune cell trafficking and homing to secondary lymphoid organs. Its expression on leukocytes facilitates interactions with endothelial cells and subsequent migration into lymph nodes, where immune responses are initiated.
By targeting CD62L with this monoclonal antibody, researchers can gain insights into the regulation of immune cell migration and activation, offering potential applications in studies related to inflammation, infection, and immune disorders. With a validated specificity for human CD62L, the DREG56 (AGEL0952) monoclonal antibody from AssayGenie is a reliable tool for investigating the role of this critical molecule in immune responses. Whether exploring leukocyte trafficking in health or disease, this antibody provides researchers with a precise and reproducible means of characterizing CD62L expression and function, helping to advance our understanding of immune system dynamics and potential therapeutic targets.

Background:
CD62L is a 74-95 kD single chain type I glycoprotein referred to as L-selectin or LECAM-1. It is expressed on most peripheral blood B cells, subsets of T and NK cells, monocytes, granulocytes, and certain hematopoietic malignant cells. CD62L binds to carbohydrates present on certain glycoforms of CD34, glycam-1, and MAdCAM-1 and with a low affinity to anionic oligosaccharide sequences related to sialylated Lewis X (sLex, CD15s) through its C-type lectin domain. CD62L is important for the homing of naïve lymphocytes to high endothelial venules in peripheral lymph nodes and Peyer's patches. It also plays a role in leukocyte rolling on activated endothelial cells.
