The Human CD62L Monoclonal Antibody (FITC-conjugated) DREG56 (AGEL0224) is a powerful tool for researchers studying immune cell adhesion molecules and their role in inflammatory responses. This antibody specifically targets CD62L, a key marker for lymphocyte homing to peripheral lymph nodes and sites of inflammation. By binding to CD62L, this monoclonal antibody enables precise detection and analysis of immune cell populations expressing this important adhesion molecule.CD62L, also known as L-selectin, plays a critical role in the immune response by facilitating the migration of lymphocytes to sites of infection and inflammation. It is involved in the initial steps of immune cell extravasation from the blood into peripheral tissues, making it a key player in the inflammatory cascade.
By targeting CD62L with this monoclonal antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying immune cell trafficking and activation. This FITC-conjugated monoclonal antibody offers high specificity and sensitivity for CD62L detection, making it suitable for a wide range of research applications including flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and cell sorting. Its compatibility with human samples ensures reliable and accurate results for studies focused on immune cell behavior and function. Researchers in immunology, inflammation, and infectious disease fields will find this antibody to be an indispensable tool for advancing their research goals and understanding immune cell dynamics in health and disease.

Background:
CD62L is a 74-95 kD single chain type I glycoprotein referred to as L-selectin or LECAM-1. It is expressed on most peripheral blood B cells, subsets of T and NK cells, monocytes, granulocytes, and certain hematopoietic malignant cells. CD62L binds to carbohydrates present on certain glycoforms of CD34, glycam-1, and MAdCAM-1 and with a low affinity to anionic oligosaccharide sequences related to sialylated Lewis X (sLex, CD15s) through its C-type lectin domain. CD62L is important for the homing of naïve lymphocytes to high endothelial venules in peripheral lymph nodes and Peyer's patches. It also plays a role in leukocyte rolling on activated endothelial cells.
