The Human CD62L Monoclonal Antibody (Alexa Fluor 488 Conjugated) DREG56 (AGEL0226) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers studying the CD62L molecule, a key player in immune cell trafficking and activation. This monoclonal antibody, designed for use with human samples, is conjugated with Alexa Fluor 488 for enhanced detection and visualization capabilities.CD62L, also known as L-selectin, is a cell adhesion molecule crucial for lymphocyte homing and migration to secondary lymphoid organs. Its expression on the surface of immune cells facilitates their interaction with high endothelial venules, enabling proper immune responses.
The DREG56 antibody specifically targets CD62L, allowing for precise identification and analysis in a variety of experimental settings.Researchers in immunology, cancer biology, and infectious diseases will find the Human CD62L Monoclonal Antibody (Alexa Fluor 488 Conjugated) DREG56 (AGEL0226) invaluable for investigating immune cell behavior, inflammation, and immune surveillance mechanisms. With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody is a valuable asset for elucidating the role of CD62L in diverse physiological and pathological processes.

Background:
CD62L is a 74-95 kD single chain type I glycoprotein referred to as L-selectin or LECAM-1. It is expressed on most peripheral blood B cells, subsets of T and NK cells, monocytes, granulocytes, and certain hematopoietic malignant cells. CD62L binds to carbohydrates present on certain glycoforms of CD34, glycam-1, and MAdCAM-1 and with a low affinity to anionic oligosaccharide sequences related to sialylated Lewis X (sLex, CD15s) through its C-type lectin domain. CD62L is important for the homing of naïve lymphocytes to high endothelial venules in peripheral lymph nodes and Peyer's patches. It also plays a role in leukocyte rolling on activated endothelial cells.
