The Human CD58 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Conjugated (TS2/9.1) is a specialized tool for research involving the CD58 molecule, which plays a crucial role in immune cell adhesion and activation. This antibody, conjugated with PE for flow cytometry applications, is specifically designed for use with human samples, enabling precise detection and analysis of CD58 expression on cell surfaces.CD58, also known as LFA-3, is a key protein involved in immune cell interactions, particularly in the regulation of T-cell activation and adhesion to antigen-presenting cells. Its importance in immune responses and inflammatory processes makes it a valuable target for research in immunology, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders.
By using this PE-conjugated monoclonal antibody, researchers can gain insights into the role of CD58 in immune cell signaling and investigate its implications in various diseases and conditions. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the Human CD58 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Conjugated (TS2/9.1) offers a reliable tool for flow cytometry-based studies aiming to understand the function and regulation of CD58 in immune responses and disease pathology. Ideal for immunologists and cell biologists, this antibody facilitates in-depth investigations into the mechanisms underlying immune cell interactions and opens avenues for developing targeted therapies and diagnostic approaches.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD58, also known as lymphocyte function-associated antigen 3 (LFA-3) is a 45-70 kD cell surface protein that is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Alternative splicing of CD58 gives rise to transmembrane and glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored forms on cell surface. CD58 is expressed on both hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells including B cells, T cells, monocytes, erythrocytes, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, and fibroblasts. High levels are observed on memory T cells and dendritic cells. CD58 expressed on antigen presenting cells and target cells enhances T cell recognition via the binding of it's cognate ligand, CD2, on the T cell surface.
