The Human CD57 Monoclonal Antibody (PERCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) - HNK-1 (AGEL1036) offered by Assay Genie is a valuable tool for researchers studying immune cell populations and neurobiology. This antibody specifically targets CD57, a marker expressed on natural killer cells, cytotoxic T cells, and some subsets of T cells and NK cells. The PERCP-Cyanine5.5 conjugation allows for easy detection and analysis using flow cytometry, making it ideal for identifying and characterizing CD57-expressing cells in human samples.CD57, also known as HNK-1 antigen, is involved in immune responses and plays a role in cell adhesion and migration in the nervous system. By targeting CD57 with this monoclonal antibody, researchers can gain insights into the function and distribution of CD57-expressing cells in various tissues and conditions.
This antibody is validated for use in flow cytometry applications, enabling high-quality data collection and analysis for immunology and neuroscience research.Understanding the expression patterns and functions of CD57 can provide valuable information for investigations into immune system functions, neurological disorders, and cancer immunology. The Human CD57 Monoclonal Antibody (PERCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) - HNK-1 (AGEL1036) from Assay Genie offers researchers a reliable tool for studying CD57-expressing cells and their roles in human health and disease.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD57, also known as HNK-1, NK-1, and Leu-7 is a 100-115 kD oligosaccharide antigenic determinant expressed on a variety of proteins, lipids, and chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans. CD57 is expressed on a subset of peripheral blood lymphocytes, including NK cells and CD8+ T cells, and is also expressed on neural cells and striated muscle. CD57 is not expressed on red blood cells, granulocytes, monocytes, or platelets. While the function of CD57 is unknown, binding to L-selectin, P-selectin, and a fragment of laminin suggests that CD57 may be involved in cell-matrix interactions. CD57 is increased in some disease states associated with CD4/CD8 imbalances (AIDS, autoimmune disease, viral infections, and allograft transplants).
