The Human CD47 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated) offered by Assay Genie (AGEL0999) is a cutting-edge tool designed for researchers investigating CD47, a cell surface protein with diverse roles in immune regulation and cancer biology. This antibody, meticulously developed for human samples, is conjugated with AF647 for enhanced detection in flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and other cellular imaging techniques. Its specificity and high affinity towards CD47 make it an invaluable asset in elucidating the function and localization of this key molecule in various cell types.CD47, also known as the "don't eat me" signal, is a pivotal player in immune responses, acting as a signaling checkpoint that modulates phagocytosis by macrophages and other immune cells. Dysregulation of CD47 has been implicated in cancer progression, where it can facilitate tumor immune evasion and promote metastasis.
The AF647-conjugated monoclonal antibody enables precise visualization and quantification of CD47 expression, offering researchers a deeper understanding of its involvement in cancer development and potential therapeutic targeting.By leveraging the Human CD47 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated) from Assay Genie, researchers can delve into the intricate interplay between CD47 and the immune system, paving the way for innovative discoveries in immunotherapy, oncology, and beyond. Unlock the secrets of CD47 biology with this powerful research tool and drive forward the quest for novel therapeutic strategies in cancer and immunological disorders.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD47 also known as Rh-associated protein, gp42, integrin-associated protein (IAP), and neurophilin, is a 42-52 kD member of the immunoglobulin superfamily containing a five-pass transmembrane attachment. Two splice variants have been described in the cytoplasmic tail, the shorter form is expressed in bone-marrow-derived cells, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts while the longer form is expressed by neural tissues. CD47 expression is widely distributed in hematopoietic cells including thymocytes, T cells, B cells, monocytes, platelets, and erythrocytes as well as epithelial cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and neural tissues. CD47 functions as an adhesion molecule and thrombospondin receptor and is non-covalently associated with β3 integrins CD51/CD61, CD41/CD61. Thrombospondin is a ligand for CD47; in the absence of CD47 mice show defects in host defense and β3 integrin-dependent ligand binding, migration, and cellular activation. CD47 is also part of the Rh complex on erythrocytes.
