The Human CD38 Monoclonal Antibody (PERCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated, HIT2) from Assay Genie (AGEL0992) is a specialized tool for researchers studying CD38, a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in various cellular processes, including signal transduction and calcium mobilization. This monoclonal antibody specifically targets human CD38 and is conjugated with PERCP-Cyanine5.5 for enhanced detection and analysis in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications.CD38 is known to play a crucial role in immune regulation, cell adhesion, and modulation of intracellular calcium levels. Its aberrant expression has been associated with several diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases.
By utilizing this monoclonal antibody, researchers can accurately identify and study CD38 expression in different cell types, offering insights into its role in various physiological and pathological conditions. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the Human CD38 Monoclonal Antibody (PERCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated, HIT2) provides a valuable tool for investigating the function and expression of CD38 in both healthy and diseased states. This antibody is a reliable option for scientists engaged in immunology, oncology, and related fields seeking to deepen their understanding of CD38 biology and its implications for therapeutic development.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD38 is a 45 kD type II transmembrane glycoprotein also known as T10. It is an ADP-ribosyl hydrolase expressed at variable levels on hematopoietic cells and in some non-hematopoietic tissues (such as brain, muscles, and kidney). In humans, it is expressed at high levels on plasma cells and activated T and B cells. By functioning as both a cyclase and a hydrolase, CD38 mediates lymphocyte activation, adhesion, and the metabolism of cADPR and NAADP. CD31 is the ligand of CD38.
