The Human CD38 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5 Conjugated (HIT2-AGEL0989) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers investigating CD38, a multifunctional cell surface protein involved in immune regulation, cell adhesion, and calcium signaling. This monoclonal antibody is specifically designed for use in flow cytometry applications, enabling precise detection and quantification of CD38 expression on human cells.CD38 plays a pivotal role in various biological processes, including immune responses, cell activation, and signal transduction. By targeting CD38, researchers can gain insights into its involvement in diseases such as cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders.
The conjugation of PE-Cyanine5 to this antibody enhances its fluorescence signal, allowing for high sensitivity and specificity in flow cytometry experiments. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the Human CD38 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5 Conjugated (HIT2-AGEL0989) is a valuable tool for advancing research in immunology, oncology, and other fields where CD38 functions are of interest. Its reliability and performance make it an indispensable asset for scientists aiming to unravel the complexities of CD38 biology and its potential implications in human health and disease.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD38 is a 45 kD type II transmembrane glycoprotein also known as T10. It is an ADP-ribosyl hydrolase expressed at variable levels on hematopoietic cells and in some non-hematopoietic tissues (such as brain, muscles, and kidney). In humans, it is expressed at high levels on plasma cells and activated T and B cells. By functioning as both a cyclase and a hydrolase, CD38 mediates lymphocyte activation, adhesion, and the metabolism of cADPR and NAADP. CD31 is the ligand of CD38.
