The Human CD34 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Conjugated (AG1734) offered by Assay Genie is an essential tool for researchers studying CD34, a transmembrane glycoprotein that serves as a marker for hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. This monoclonal antibody specifically binds to CD34 antigens and is directly conjugated to phycoerythrin (PE) for easy detection and analysis in flow cytometry applications. With high reactivity towards human samples, this antibody is validated for use in immunophenotyping studies, stem cell research, and identifying hematopoietic cell types. The CD34 antigen is crucial for the identification and isolation of hematopoietic stem cells, making this antibody invaluable in understanding the processes of hematopoiesis and cell differentiation.
Researchers in the fields of hematology, regenerative medicine, and stem cell biology will find this PE-conjugated CD34 monoclonal antibody a powerful tool for investigating the roles of CD34-positive cells in development, homeostasis, and disease progression. Its specificity and reliability make it an ideal choice for advancing knowledge in the field of cell biology and therapeutic applications.

Background:
CD34, also known as gp105-120, is a type I monomeric sialomucin-like glycophosphoprotein with an approximate molecular weight of 105-120 kD. Selectively expressed on the majority of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells, bone marrow stromal cells, capillary endothelial cells, embryonic fibroblasts, and some nervous tissue, CD34 is a commonly used marker to identify human hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. According to the differential sensitivity to enzymatic cleavage, four groups of epitopes of CD34 have been described. CD34 mediates cell adhesion and lymphocytes homing through binding to L-selectin and E-selectin ligands.
