The Human CD21 Monoclonal Antibody PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated (BU32) is a high-quality antibody designed for research applications involving CD21, a key cell surface protein involved in immune responses and B cell activation. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with PerCP-Cyanine5.5, offers enhanced sensitivity and specificity for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence analyses in human samples.CD21, also known as complement receptor 2 (CR2), plays a vital role in the activation and regulation of B cells by binding to complement component C3d. By targeting CD21, researchers can investigate B cell function, immune response modulation, and antibody production in various cellular contexts.
The BU32 monoclonal antibody enables precise detection and analysis of CD21 expression, making it a valuable tool for studies in immunology, vaccine development, and infectious disease research. With its ability to specifically target CD21 and its conjugation with PerCP-Cyanine5.5 for multi-color flow cytometry experiments, this antibody is well-suited for exploring the role of CD21 in immune signaling pathways, B cell development, and adaptive immune responses. Researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying antibody production, immune activation, and host defense by utilizing this advanced monoclonal antibody in their investigations.

Background:
CD21 is a 145 kD transmembrane protein also known as complement C3d receptor (C3dR), complement receptor 2 (CR2), and Epstein-Barr virus receptor. CD21 is expressed on B cells, follicular dendritic cells, subsets of normal thymocytes and T cells, and some epithelial cells. CD21 is the receptor used by Epstein-Barr virus to infect B cells and is also the complement receptor for C3d. CD21 has also been shown to interact with a number of proteins, including CD23, CD19, annexin VI, CD81, iC3b, complement receptor 1 (CR1, CD35), and interferon-alpha 1 (IFN-α1).
