The Human CD2 Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated) TS1/8 (AGEL1766) offered by Assay Genie is a specialized tool for researchers studying CD2, a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in immune responses and T cell activation. This APC-conjugated monoclonal antibody is specifically designed for flow cytometry applications and is optimized for use with human samples.CD2 is a key molecule involved in T cell adhesion and activation, making it essential for understanding immune cell function and communication. The TS1/8 monoclonal antibody binds specifically to CD2, allowing for precise detection and analysis of CD2-expressing cells in various experimental settings.
With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody is an invaluable resource for immunologists, cell biologists, and researchers interested in unraveling the complexities of T cell biology, immune responses, and immune-related disorders. Trust the Human CD2 Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated) TS1/8 (AGEL1766) from Assay Genie to enhance your research and advance your understanding of immune cell dynamics.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD2 is a 50 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as LFA-2, T11, and sheep red blood cell receptor (SRBC-R). This immunoglobulin superfamily member is expressed on thymocytes, T lymphocytes, NK cells, and thymic B cell subsets. The major ligand for CD2 is CD58 (also known as LFA-3). CD2 has also been reported to bind CD48, CD59, and CD15. CD2 plays a critical role in alternative T cell activation, T cell signaling, and cell-cell adhesion.
