The Human CD123 Monoclonal Antibody (PE-conjugated, 6H6, AGEL1456) offered by AssayGenie is a cutting-edge tool for researchers studying CD123, a cell surface marker associated with various hematological malignancies. With a specific binding capacity to human CD123, this monoclonal antibody is designed for flow cytometry applications, enabling precise identification and characterization of CD123-expressing cells in research settings.CD123, also known as interleukin-3 receptor alpha chain, is a critical biomarker widely studied in the context of hematopoietic disorders such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). Its overexpression has been linked to disease progression and poor prognosis in certain malignancies, making it a target of interest for therapeutic interventions and prognostic assessments.
By utilizing the Human CD123 Monoclonal Antibody (PE-conjugated, 6H6, AGEL1456), researchers can accurately profile and quantify CD123-positive cell populations in biological samples, facilitating the advancement of studies in cancer biology, immunotherapy, and targeted treatment strategies. This antibody provides a reliable tool for unraveling the complexities of CD123 biology and its implications in hematological malignancies, paving the way for innovative research discoveries and potential clinical applications.

Background:
CD123 is the 70 kD transmembrane α chain of the IL-3 receptor. Alone, CD123 binds IL-3 with low affinity; when CD123 associates with CDw131 (common β chain), it binds IL-3 with high affinity. CD123 does not transduce intracellular signals upon binding IL-3 and requires the β chain for this function. CD123 is expressed by myeloid precursors, macrophages, dendritic cells, mast cells, basophils, megakaryocytes, and some B cells.
