The Human CD11c Monoclonal Antibody (Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated, BU15) is a powerful tool for immunology research, specifically targeting the CD11c protein, a marker for dendritic cells. Dendritic cells play a crucial role in the immune system by presenting antigens to T cells, initiating immune responses against pathogens, and regulating tolerance. This antibody, conjugated with Alexa Fluor 488 for fluorescence imaging, enables precise visualization and analysis of CD11c-expressing cells in various experimental settings. With high specificity and sensitivity in detecting human CD11c, this monoclonal antibody is a valuable resource for studying dendritic cell biology, immune responses, and inflammatory processes.
Its validated performance in techniques such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence makes it an essential reagent for researchers investigating immune cell functions, vaccine development, and autoimmune diseases. By targeting CD11c, researchers can uncover insights into dendritic cell behavior and the mechanisms underlying immune regulation, paving the way for advancements in immunotherapy and vaccine design.

Background:
CD11c is a 145-150 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as integrin αX and CR4. CD11c non-covalently associates with integrin β2 (CD18) and is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, granulocytes, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11c has been reported to play a role in adhesion and CTL killing through its interactions with fibrinogen, CD54, and iC3b.
