The Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine7 Conjugated, ICRF44) is a valuable tool for researchers studying immune cell biology and inflammation. This antibody, provided by AssayGenie (AGEL1754), specifically targets the CD11b protein, which is commonly expressed on the surface of various immune cells, including monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes. The CD11b protein plays a crucial role in adhesion and migration of immune cells, as well as phagocytosis and cytokine secretion. By using this monoclonal antibody conjugated with PE/Cyanine7, researchers can easily detect and analyze CD11b expression in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence experiments in a variety of human samples.
The versatility of this antibody allows for its application in diverse research areas, including immunology, inflammation, infection, and cancer. Understanding the function and regulation of CD11b is essential for elucidating the complex interactions of immune cells in the context of disease and immune response modulation.By employing the Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine7 Conjugated, ICRF44), researchers can advance their studies in immune system dynamics, inflammatory pathways, and potential therapeutic targets for various immune-related disorders.

Background:
CD11b is a 165-170 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as αMintegrin, Mac-1, CR3, and C3biR. CD11b non-covalently associates with integrin β2(CD18) and is expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b/CD18 is critical for the transendothelial migration of monocytes and neutrophils. It is also involved in granulocyte adhesion, phagocytosis, and neutrophil activation. CD11b/CD18 interacts with ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4, CD14, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and factor X.
