The Human CD11a Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) TS1/22 (AGEL0962) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CD11a, a cell surface protein involved in immune cell adhesion and signaling. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with FITC for convenient detection, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in flow cytometry applications.CD11a, a subunit of the integrin receptor LFA-1, plays a vital role in mediating immune cell interactions and migration, making it a key target for investigations in immunology and inflammation. By specifically binding to CD11a, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, facilitating a deeper understanding of immune responses and related pathways.
With its ability to target CD11a, researchers can explore the functions and regulation of this important cell surface molecule in diverse contexts, including immune system disorders, inflammatory diseases, and potential therapeutic interventions. The Human CD11a Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) TS1/22 (AGEL0962) provides a reliable tool for advancing research in immunology and related fields.

Background:
CD11a is a 170-180 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as LFA-1α chain and integrin αL subunit. CD11a non-covalently associates with integrin β2 (CD18) to form LFA-1. It is expressed on all leukocytes, including B and T lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, basophils and eosinophils. It is absent on non-hematopoietic tissues and platelets. CD11a plays a central role in leukocyte cell-cell interactions and is important in lymphocyte costimulation. CD11a/CD18 binds to ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM-3 (CD50).
