The Human CD11a Monoclonal Antibody APC Conjugated (TS1/22.1.1/13) is a powerful tool for research involving CD11a, a cell surface protein that is a key component of the integrin lymphocyte function-associated antigen 1 (LFA-1). This antibody, developed by Assay Genie, is specifically designed for use in flow cytometry applications and is conjugated to allophycocyanin (APC) for enhanced detection and analysis.CD11a plays a crucial role in immune cell adhesion and activation, particularly in processes such as T cell activation and migration. By targeting CD11a, researchers can gain valuable insights into immune cell function, particularly in the context of inflammatory responses, immune surveillance, and host defense mechanisms.
With its high specificity and reactivity with human samples, the Human CD11a Monoclonal Antibody APC Conjugated (TS1/22.1.1/13) is a valuable tool for immunology research, including studies focused on immune cell interactions, inflammatory diseases, and autoimmune conditions. Its use in flow cytometry allows for precise and reliable analysis of CD11a expression on various cell populations, making it an essential reagent for investigations into immune system regulation and dysfunction.

Background:
CD11a is a 170-180 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as LFA-1α chain and integrin αL subunit. CD11a non-covalently associates with integrin β2 (CD18) to form LFA-1. It is expressed on all leukocytes, including B and T lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, basophils and eosinophils. It is absent on non-hematopoietic tissues and platelets. CD11a plays a central role in leukocyte cell-cell interactions and is important in lymphocyte costimulation. CD11a/CD18 binds to ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM-3 (CD50).
