The Human CALP (Calprotectin) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the precise measurement of calprotectin levels in human samples, including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. With its outstanding sensitivity and specificity, this kit delivers accurate and reproducible results, making it an invaluable tool for a wide range of research purposes.Calprotectin, also known as S100A8/A9, is a key protein involved in the immune response and inflammatory processes.
Elevated levels of calprotectin are associated with various conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and colorectal cancer, making it a crucial biomarker for studying and diagnosing these diseases.Overall, the Human CALP ELISA Kit is an essential resource for researchers studying inflammatory conditions and looking to develop new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human CALP. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human CALP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human CALP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human CALP. You can calculate the concentration of Human CALP in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
