B-cell CLL/lymphoma 7C (BCL7C) is identified by the likeness of its product to the N-terminal region of BCL7A protein. The BCL7A protein is encoded by the gene which is directly involved in a three-way gene translocation in a Burkitt lymphoma cell line. The function of the BCL7C gene has not been determined yet.
BCL7C Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 240 amino acids (1-217 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 25.9kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear higher).BCL7C is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | Bcl-7C: May play an anti-apoptotic role. Belongs to the BCL7 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.Protein type: Unknown functionChromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p11 |

NCBI Summary: | This gene is identified by the similarity of its product to the N-terminal region of BCL7A protein. The BCL7A protein is encoded by the gene known to be directly involved in a three-way gene translocation in a Burkitt lymphoma cell line. The function of this gene has not yet been determined. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2013] |
