The Human AQP-1 (Aquaporin 1) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the quantitative detection of Aquaporin 1 levels in human biological samples, including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit is highly sensitive and accurate, providing researchers with reliable and reproducible results for a variety of research applications.Aquaporin 1 is a key membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of water transport across cell membranes. It is involved in various physiological processes, including urine concentration, fluid balance, and cell migration.
Dysregulation of Aquaporin 1 has been linked to a range of disorders, such as kidney diseases, brain edema, and certain types of cancer, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions and developing potential treatment strategies.Overall, the Human AQP-1 ELISA Kit offers researchers a powerful tool for investigating the role of Aquaporin 1 in health and disease, providing valuable insights into potential therapeutic targets and personalized medicine approaches.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human AQP-1. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human AQP-1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human AQP-1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human AQP-1. You can calculate the concentration of Human AQP-1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
