Human ALDM (Aldehyde Dehydrogenase, Mitochondrial) ELISA Kit
The Human ALDM (Aldehyde Dehydrogenase, Mitochondrial) ELISA Kit is a sophisticated assay designed for the quantitative assessment of ALDH levels in human biological samples.
Aldehyde dehydrogenases are a group of enzymes that play crucial roles in alcohol metabolism, oxidative stress response, and cellular detoxification by oxidizing aldehydes to carboxylic acids. Particularly, the mitochondrial isoform of ALDH is involved in various physiological processes, including retinoic acid metabolism, lipid oxidation, and protection against oxidative damage. This ELISA kit provides researchers with a precise method to measure ALDH levels, offering valuable insights into cellular detoxification mechanisms, oxidative stress response, and metabolic pathways. By quantifying ALDH expression, this kit enables researchers to investigate the role of ALDH in health and disease, including alcohol-related disorders, cancer development, and neurodegenerative conditions. The Human ALDM ELISA Kit offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, guaranteeing accurate and reproducible results. With robust performance and user-friendly protocols, this kit is an excellent choice for research purposes, facilitating in-depth investigations into the functions and regulatory mechanisms of mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenase.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human ALDM. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human ALDM and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human ALDM, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human ALDM. You can calculate the concentration of Human ALDM in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
